Great Story Idea, Writing a little stiff and formal, a little judicious editing might help the flow of the writing. Great characters, just need a little help with writing style
A great first series from a promising new author!
Awesome story of a family going with troubles . The daughter becomes a wolf shifter and the son becomes a vampire. The daughter over takes the son. But not without sacrifices.
I just can't say enough good things about this series. Brooke is a strong female lead with just enough vulnerability to make her "human". Nick is an excellent counterpart to her strength. AD Ryan style and writing are flawless and the detailed scenes and descriptions take into Brooke's world and keeps you riveted throughout.
My first read from this author and I enjoyed it immensely. The author's created a fabulous world blending human and paranormal Several others described it as Underworld meets CSI and I have to agree.

The main character Brooke is very well written, strong and driven. Definitely a recommended read.

Brooke loses her twin brother and her fiance at the age of twenty-one. It takes her years to begin to recover. Just when she feel things are back on track, another murder hits close to home. During the investigation, she is bitten and she learns all about the vampires and shifters that have been inhabiting her life. Further tragedy brings her to a new life in a new country with even more violence. She has to rely on her instincts and her training as a police officer to keep her alive. Brooke also has to decide if she can learn to trust a man that caused her so much pain when he left.

It packs an emotional punch. There is love, betrayal, hope, violence, death and new life and beginnings. You don't know what to expect and you feel the impact of each major event like Brooke does. Brooke thinks she is weak for being so severely impacted emotionally but it actually makes her stronger and others realize her strengths much quicker than she does. She has a hard time with trust. Her relationship with Nick is full of struggles but also intense love. They both feel a connection that is not severed by years away from one another or involvements with other people.

It is a great journey that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would love to see more stories featuring the characters. I received a copy in return for a honest review.
I was given a copy of the Blood Moon Trilogy for an honest review. This is an amazing trilogy. I have reviewed each of the three books separately. AD Ryan is a great story teller. In the first book, Brooke twin brother, Bobby was murdered on their twenty first birthday. Her fiancee, Nick tells her he has to leave and she is along to deal with the lose of her brother and fiancee. Seven years later she and her partner David tell everyone that are a couple. While on a case, Brooke is bitten by a wolf. The murders happening in the city are just like her brother's murder. Nick has returned and finds Brooke as she goes through her first shift to a wolf. She doesn't want to believe what has happened to her. Vampires are after Brooke, they are told to take her alive, but others are killed trying to protect her. There is a fight between the vampires, Brooke, the wolves and humans. Book 2 picks up where book 1 ended. Brooke told her parents that she was going to Canada with Nick to get away. Nick, Brooke and the wolves from Arizona goes to Canada to the Pack leader compound. It doesn't take long for the vampires to find Brooke. She is more accepting of her wolf and beginning to trust Nick. Brooke and Nick have a fight and she is captured by the vampires. Everyone keeps saying she is the key that the vampires are looking for. It turns out the vampires are trying to make hybrid vampires/werewolves and hybrid werewolves/vampires. As the story continues the vampires keep trying to breach the compound trying to get Brooke. AD Ryan does an excellent job of telling a story that holds ones interest. You are waiting to see what is going to happen next. She does an great job of making the books flow freely from one to the next, holding your interest as you can't wait to see what is going to happen. I highly recommend this trilogy especially if you are a werewolf and vampire fan.
