CM Stunich, I hate you and love you all at the same time.

If you hate cliff hangers, then I don't know what to tell you. CM Stunich is the Queen of cliff hangers, it hits you like a bag of hammers to the head. You are just zipping along, immersed in the story, feeling the words and energy....and WHAM it's over. With a nice little apology note from her saying to just hold on, all good things come to those who wait. I love it!

Being that this is book 6 in the series, we are all quite familiar with what's been happening. With Dead Serious we get to see the human sides of Turner and Naomi, how the love story beneath the rock n roll life could be if they could just escape from all the madness. The never ending life and death drama that they have all been sucked into and can't quite solve or escape from. Each story just adds another piece to the puzzle. What I love about this series is the layers of the storyline, nothing is what it seems. The puzzle has pieces that are missing or all seem to be the same color so you can't quite get them to fit together. And the way Stunich writes, it's like music. The words flow like the lyrics to a song, sounds crazy huh? But that's how it all flows for me. And I love it so much I keep getting up cliff hanger after cliff hanger wanting more. Start at the beginning if you haven't read this and pay attention, if you blink you will miss the small details that make this rock n roll race to the top all worth it.

So we have been waiting for what feels like forever for another Turner and Naomi story. And CM does NOT disappoint. I personally felt it was the best of the entire series. I couldn't put it down. I needed Turner that much. Again the group goes through a lot of crappy stuff. Not nearly the same amount in the previous ones. But it certainly has its fair share of shocks, surprises, death, gloom , doom, humor and hope. We learn more new hidden secrets and we get to watch the group squirm and try to have a normal life. Well, as normal as Turner Campbell and Naomi Know could get. Right?! lol. It was HOT!!! Turner is always hot, but he brought his A game in Dead Serious. I loved how he and Naomi have these small changes every installment and they keep growing leaps and bounds, yet remain the same characters we love. This book Turner was my favorite. You will see why. It was all around pretty amazing and of course, in true CM fashion leaves off and a huge WTF! OMG! you didn't!?! cannot wait for Doll Face and then more Turner and Naomi ;-) -) must read series and installment!!

So this, the sixth installment of Hard Rock Roots Series, is just as intriguing as all the previous books. I love Naomi and Turner as well as all the other characters, even the evil ones. While I'm not ready for the thrillers/series to end; getting to the end of a story makes me want to pull my hair out. I've of course come to understand that's the way it goes with Ms. Stunning. I'm a true fan of her works and I'll never leave........(insert whining voice) but how long do I have to wait for the next Naomi and Turner book!!????
I highly recommend this series but know that if cliffhangers are not for you, neither is this series.
I don't even usually read this genre (I'm more a fantasy reader), but I can't put these books down. This is one of those series that once you're drawn in, don't expect to get out easily. Charge your back up and turn your phone on silent. It's a rocky-y ride.
What can I say but CM has done it again. Dead Serious is book 6 in her Hard Rock Roots series and what a fantastic read it is. This book draws you in from page one right up until you see the words The End.
Once again this is Turner and Naomi's contunuing story and what a story they have. The chemistry between the two is off the charts HOT and down right DIRTY but we wouldn't want them to be any other way. Their story is like being on the ultimate rollercoaster ride of ups and downs twists and turns but one you would ride over and over again.
If you are not only looking for a book but a series that will draw you in from Book One and you love Hot Rockers this is definitely on you do not want to miss
OMG, I need November 24th to hurry up and get here!! I have a serious love/hate relationship with this series. C.M. is the master of cliffhangers and luckily she doesn't make you wait a year (or even months) before she gives us the next book but UGH I really need to know what happens next!!

I would dedicatedly recommend this series to anyone that loves hard core rock gods that say it like it is. It's an awesome mixture of sexy, mystery, & humor that will have you hooked and begging for more! All of the story's characters draw you in and make you fall in love with them, even when you feel like bitch-slapping them upside the head.

You really need to read this series, it's an awesome mind f*ck all the way thru. Just when you think you have it figured out, C.M. shows you that you don't have any clue where she's taking this story!
